Errand Runner/General Maintenance

Your duties may include:
*Running errands in the local area
*Light Cleaning and Maintenance
*Preparing packages to be shipped
*Assisting staff with various office tasks

The successful candidate will:
*Have strong attention to detail
*Be reliable and trustworthy
*Have a Driver’s License and access to a car
*Have the ability to lift up to 50lbs

This is a part time position (6-8 hours/week) for Tuesdays and Fridays.  There is some flexibility on the hours.  In general, most errands are run between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Help Wanted! – A Paid Job

We are looking for both female and male helpers for incredible missionaries. They need to clear out a home in Oakley. We need three women and two men. It’s a paid job. $10 per hour for three days. They are asking only 3 – 4 hours over three days.

For female helper: a week of September 13 – maybe 9/15, 16, 17 (Tuesday – Thursday) – light lifting and packing boxes

For male helper: a week of October 4 – maybe 10/6, 7, 8 (Tuesday – Thursday) – a little heavier lifting

Job Opportunity – Educational Help

Job:  Educational Help for Homeschool High School Student

Hours:  Around 20 per week (4 hours per day) or less

Salary:  Negotiable

Location:  The student’s home in Concord

Description:  Steve Nelson, who attends Northcreek, is looking for someone to assist his son, Kade, with his homeschool curriculum.  Kade is vision impaired and needs someone to read assignments to him and record his responses.  Teaching experience is a plus, but not required.

Paid Service Opportunity and Free Stuff

Two guys needed from 9-12 this Saturday….pay $15/hr.

  1. A Kenmore washer and dryer matched pair (in good shape)
  2. A Kenmore refrigerator (good shape mechanically, but needs some cleaning)
  3. A sofa and love seat pair
  4. A recliner lounge chair
  5. A sofa/bed (need cleaning of a small spot on the side)
  6. A dining room table w/ two leaves and six chairs.

People can come by the house to view during the week or evenings.  Must move everything by Sunday, June 13th.

Summer Internship Available

The Heffernan Group Summer Internship Program is all revved up and ready to go! They want to support and encourage college students who are interested in a career in the insurance industry. Their goal is to mentor qualified students and give them the opportunity to experience the day to day workings of an insurance brokerage.

This year, the program has been extended to all branches . Most branches have expressed an interest in participating already.

Criteria for applicants:

• College students entering their junior or senior year
• Interest in working in the insurance industry
o Administrative (HR, IT, marketing) interest will be considered

Internship program description:

• Mentor with a producer or executive account manager
o Attend client meetings
o Assist with projects and presentations
o Experience “a day in the life” of insurance
• June through September
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Wages: $13 per hour
• At least one intern per branch
